Cyprus
Introduction
The legendary birthplace of Aphrodite - the goddess of love - Cyprus is a sun drenched island in the East Mediterranean enjoying more hours of sunshine than any other Mediterranean resort. Temperatures rise into to the 90's in the peak summer months, in spring and autumn it is comfortably warm, with a sun tan more or less guaranteed. The high standard of accommodation, service, and range of facilities available coupled with the fact that English is widely spoken and they drive on the left makes Cyprus a popular holiday destination for British tourists.

Limassol
This thriving cosmopolitan town has blended the very best of the old with the modern, first class hotels and apartments, countless restaurants, tavernas, bars, clubs and numerous historical and natural attractions. The main tourist area has developed for some 14 kms along the coastal road to the west of the old town stretching through Potamos and Yermasoyia two of the liveliest areas. The old town has the best shopping on the island; a bargain hunters paradise particularly for silverware, handmade lace, leather goods, pottery and silks.
Larnaca
Larnaca is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, where the arrival of tourism has not disturbed the day to day life, locals live and work in harmony with visitors. The bustling centre of Larnaca is dominated by the mile long, palm tree lined, promenade, whose open-air cafes and restaurants are popular both by day and night. Larnaca is a busy commercial and shopping centre where you can purchase anything from leather goods and hand made jewellery to fresh fruit and vegetables. Nightlife is varied with a choice of bars, restaurants, tavernas and discos. There are two main beaches - MacKenzie, popular for watersports and the sandy Dhekelia beach which stretches for miles along the resort.
Ayia Napa
Glorious beaches of golden sand with crystal clear waters and a lively nightlife makes Ayia Napa the ideal choice for those seeking sun, sea and a fun holiday. The resort is very popular with the young and lively during the peak season. Originally a sleepy little fishing village Ayia Napa has grown into a modern vibrant resort. The main square and surrounding areas are scattered with countless busy restaurants and discos that come alive at night. Away from the hustle and bustle of the night life the resort still retains much of its original charm, with a variety of shops, cafes and in particularly the quaint little fishing harbour with its seafood tavernas. During the peak season the water park provides plenty of thrills and spills.
Protaras
A 15 minute drive from Ayia Napa, Protaras is a modern purpose built resort popular with watersports enthusiasts. Life revolves around the glorious sandy beaches and turquoise waters. The rugged headland of Cape Greco with its rocky inlets is a favourite with scuba divers, while swimmers favour the fine golden sand and clear water of Fig Tree Bay, also popular for boating and snorkelling. Nightlife is quieter than at nearby Ayia Napa but still offers a good choice of bars, restaurants, tavernas and a few discos.
